Student Council Accomplishments
In 2007 the RCCS Student Council was given the prestigious award as being "The Organization of the Year" during the 17th Annual Americans With Disabilities Act (ADA) Celebration.
The River City Christian School Student Council, along with the Christian Honor Student Association, planned, organized and implemented Fiesta Especial.
Fiesta Especial is a two-day carnival specifically designed for the children of San Antonio with mental and/or physical challenges. Fiesta Especial offers Fiesta-type rides, games, crafts, face painting and entertainment. All of the Fiesta Especial activities are family-friendly and have been adapted to allow the children's participation and enjoyment. Fiesta Especial provides a way to include our special needs community with a safe and affordable way to enjoy one of San Antonio's largest celebrations - Fiesta!
Fiesta Especial was such a success,it's now an annual Fiesta event hosted by River City Christian School. The 4th Annual Fiesta Especial is scheduled for April 18-19, 2008.
